Description
Originally developed for Acclaim Entertainment before the publisher filed for bankruptcy in 2004, Emergency Mayhem has been taken out of intensive care courtesy of Codemasters and Warner Bros. Entertainment. The play mechanics closely follow those of Crazy Taxi but with police, fire, and medical rescue vehicles instead of taxicabs. The object is to quickly race through Crisis City's busy streets to reach specific destinations within a time limit. Players must then complete a motion-sensing mini-game to defuse bombs, catch falling people from burning buildings, chase down perps, douse fires, and more. Over 70 mini-games are featured in total, as are various party modes supporting up to four players. Cash bonuses are also awarded for quick and efficient rescue attempts, allowing would-be emergency workers to upgrade their ambulances, fire trucks, police cruisers, and other vehicles.
