In the age of The Inquisition, there is no place for magic.
Nor is there a role for Elves, the keepers of enchantments, the healers of humankind in both body and soul. Natil was the last of her people, but in this time when the Church sentenced guilty and innocent alike to torture, this age when the local Inquisitor seemed to weild more power than many a more holy cleric, what place was there for one such as she? And so, her powers fading, she harped her way across the lands, slowly making her way to the final place where she would depart forever the world of mortals. But three things would soon intervene to keep Natil from taking that final step. The first was Omelda, a young woman troubled by voices in her head. The second was Natil's dream, a vision of a distant future when the magic of the Elves would rise again. And the third was an Inquistior who had marked both Omelda and Natil for his own...
